Medical Records Made Friendly

eMedRec is a hybrid records solution that combines the power of enterprise document management with robust EMR features.

eMedRec flexible structure adapts to fit the practice rather
than forcing the practice to adapt to fit the software.

Users may be trained on this intuitive solution in minutes.

Turnkey solutions available including
Back scanning of existing charts.

Enterprise Back Scanning

The Chart Viewer of eMedRec displays a Patient Chart in a similar format to that of a paper chart. Clicking on a Tab on the left edge of the chart will display the contents of that Tab. Contents are sorted with the most recent document on top. They may be resorted by document type, location or any other column including the default Date of Service.

The friendly chart viewing interface enables the training of a new user in minutes.

Fax numbers associated with individual charts are maintained for quick 2 click faxing to the patient's pharmacy, primary care physician, or insurance company. Chart contents or prescriptions may be faxed instantly to any fax number associated with the chart, or to a new fax destination.

The Enterprise Faxing solution automates the workflow of both incoming and outgoing faxes.

Workflow creates a virtual work basket for medical practice staff. Labs, results, records requests, dictation and other items are all tracked and escalated based on rules established by the practice and are routed to the staff for action.

Robust Workflow capability is a key feature that helps eMedRec save the practice time.

As much as we love Electronic Charts, paper forms are still an important part of the patient visit in many medical offices. Patients fill out Patient Information Sheets, Release of Records, Receipt of Privacy Policy, and many other documents. eMedRec's Forms Creation tool takes the practice's existing forms and automatically completes the Patient Name, address, social security and other information from the stored data.

eMedRec includes a Script Writer with integrated NDDF+ Drug Database and Drug Interactions from First Databank. This feature provides drug information for research purposes for the doctor and the ability to print out drug information sheets for the patient from the script writer or from inside the chart.

The patient's preferred Pharmacy and the associated fax number is tracked in the patient's chart for one click faxing or printing of the prescription. Click on the Chart Icon for more detail.

eMedRec includes embedded Dragon Voice Recognition within the Note Creation feature. Providers may use voice recognition to reduce or eliminate the high cost and long turnaround time associated with manual transcription of patient notes. The result is lower costs and better patient care.

Physicians utilize a variety of methods to create a visit note. eMedRec allows practitioners to continue using their preferred methods. You may create a note through dictation, via practice templates, or many combinations of dictation and automatic note generation.

eMedRec is HL7 compliant and as such is able to share data with compliant Practice Management Software (PMS). This allows information that is entered into the PMS to be shared with eMedRec. The patient's name, address, insurance, birth date and other information that is entered into the PMS is seen within eMedRec and is utilized for the completion of patient forms and maintaining data continuity between the software programs.

The main focus in the development of eMedRec is to hold true to our mission of providing Medical Records Made Friendly. This does not eliminate the need to provide both training and ongoing support. There are a number of methods to obtain this training and support. We have found that different practices and different individuals have varying preferences and we will make every effort to adapt to practice preferences.
